spacer Many hauliers are pre-occupied with decks and load bearing elements, whereas bogies, goosenecks and other accessories are hardly given a second thought when purchasing. However, it is possible to wrack your brains for hours over the dimensions and details of decks and loading beds. Everyone has his own philosophy. Nevertheless, or precisely for
this reason, Scheuerle has completely overhauled its deck range for hydraulically supported vehicles with pendulum axles and is now offering an extremely versatile and well-conceived modular system for decks as well.

Accordingly, the 3 modular series INTER COMBI, EURO COMBI and FLAT COMBI are fitted with a versatile and variable repertoire of decks and load bearing elements. A repertoire that can be easily extended and which grows along with the entire product range simply in line with the haulier`s requirements.

Generally speaking, due to the dimensions, the new decks can be used both for the INTER COMBI series and for the EURO COMBI series. With older bogies, this can be resolved with ease by means of a deck transition piece or a deck adapter. Due to its low height, the FLAT COMBI has different connection dimensions and, consequently, requires specially
adapted deck transition pieces and coupling adapters. The actual decks are, however, the same as for the two other series.

Spacers and interconnecting elements of equal height are available in the lengths of 3 m, 4.5 m, 6 m and 7.5 m. These are adapted to the centre distance matrix, allowing them to be coupled into the combination at any position. To facilitate decoupling and coupling, they are equipped with 4 mechanical stabiliser feet. The hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical lines are ready fitted as in the fixed deck extension adapters.

Swivelling bolsters of 50 t to 750 t load capacity facilitate the transport of long plant units and assemblies. Thanks to the mechanical-hydraulic forced steering of the rear swivelling bolster, an optimum cornering motion of the trailer is achieved. Thanks to various mechanical hooking-in points and the change-over system in the hydraulics, the vehicle can be optimally
adapted to each total combination length. The steering stabiliser employs a pre-tensioned compressed air cylinder to prevent unintended steering on uneven terrain, whilst also making the vehicle run more smoothly.

With a load capacity of 100 t, the new flat bed decks have an overall height of a mere 230 mm. With a payload of 200t, the overall height is a mere 330 mm. The decks can be extended using fixed adapters by one, two, three and four metres.

Boiler decks for the flexible transport of heavy goods have telescopic sides and, depending on the type of vehicle, are available with widths of up to 6.2 m. It is possible to insert plateaux between the beams to create a flat bed deck. The decks can be either telescopic or be extended from 3 to 8 m in length via fixed interconnecting elements in metre intervals.

All the telescopic decks and deck beams are equipped with internal energy management chains. These ensure the rapid and problem-free adjustment of the decks. Fixed extension adapters are fitted with firmly installed hydraulic pipes and pneumatic and electrical wiring. Quick-fastening couplings ensure that they can be connected with ease to the main deck. All the decks listed here can be driven both between the bogies and coupled in directly at the
gooseneck.

The newly designed modular system enhances productivity and reduces delivery times for decks. After the bogies, this produces the necessary boost in innovation for load bearing elements. The extensive features of multi-functional hydraulic girder bridges, excavator decks, and fixed frame decks will be presented in the next edition.
